Legacy

Leave clarity for the people you love.

Decide what to pass on, to whom, and under which conditions.

Assignments

Choose what each person receives.

You decide which information goes to whom. Assign documents, instructions, and personal messages, each to the right people, with the right timing.

Family instructions

Share practical guidance for your home, finances, and wishes.

Important documents

Assign key files like deeds, accounts, IDs, and legal information.

Personal messages

Leave letters, stories, and videos for the people who matter most.

Flexible sharing

Share now, or plan for later.

Some things are meant to be shared today. Others should only be released in the future. Keeplas gives you both options, so you can choose what happens and when.

Share immediately

Give selected documents or messages to family members right away.

Share now

Plan for succession

Keep other information secure until it's needed, following a careful process.

Set up for later

Succession sharing

A careful process for future access.

When the time comes, access is only granted after a careful process. It protects your information and gives everyone peace of mind.

  1. 1

    Two trusted contacts confirm death

Your designated contacts independently confirm the information.

  2. 2

    72-hour grace period

A waiting period gives time for any errors to be addressed.

  3. 3

    Only assigned content becomes available

Just the documents, instructions, and messages you chose are released.

Life check

A missed check-in never releases your documents.

If you miss a check-in, Keeplas will send reminders. A missed check-in alone never releases your documents.

Roles explained

Recovery contacts and beneficiaries have different roles.

Both play an important part, but they do different things. This separation helps keep your account secure while ensuring the right people receive the right information.

Recovery contacts

Help you regain access to your account if you're ever locked out. They do not receive your legacy content.

Beneficiaries

Receive the documents, instructions, and messages you assign, after the succession process is complete.

FAQ

Common questions about legacy.

What types of content can I assign?

Documents, photos, notes, instructions, and personal messages, including letters, audio, and videos. Each item can go to one person, several people, or everyone.

When will my beneficiaries receive their information?

Items you share now are available right away. Items planned for later are only released after two trusted contacts confirm and the 72-hour grace period ends.

Can I share some things now and keep others for later?

Yes. For each item, choose to share it immediately or keep it secure until the succession process is complete.

What if one of my trusted contacts isn't available?

Both confirmations are required, so nothing is released with only one. You can replace a trusted contact at any time to keep your plan up to date.

Can I change my assignments at any time?

Yes. You can add, edit, or remove assignments and change who receives what whenever you like. Changes apply right away.
